I resemble that remark. The assertions were valid at the time of utterance. Like your stock disclosure says, "past performance is not an indication of future returns". It's just datapoints to guide your assessment of 10% is really all that good of a deal. I mean "GT350R at MSRP" was the holy grail until they came up repeatedly for 10% off. "Unpossible" they said...

Yeah not sure what deals they have on the 350s.

How are you getting to 18% discount, I’ve been “in talks” for about 2 weeks on a GT Premium, 401A, PP1, active and cant get him to move.
Are you cash or financing the balance?

it doesn't take 2 weeks to walk them down. they either move in 30 minutes are they aren't gonna move. Have you checked other TX markets? Or try neighboring states. Always dangle Ford financing in their faces but you don't have to follow thru. Or take it and then in 45 days switch to a better loan.

Are there dealers that are known for the best discounts?
Certainly don’t mind travelling to get the right deal.

with cars fairly thin on the ground I would wait for the next big sales holidays. MD and VA generally advertise the best prices but there are pockets in Ohio and no doubt in TX that have a similar track record.
I wouldn't pay their asking (would need another 3%) but just for reference

If they think you have that much interest then they aren’t going to budge. I find one I like and I try to haggle the price if they don’t budge you go somewhere else. They will usually call you later trying to lower the price or they will stick to their guns. Two week investment you can forget them discounting it.

Just keep your visible interest low that way they are trying to sell it to you, not you trying to buy it from them.
