Best of 4 runs, 11.475 at 125.94. 1/8th 7.525 at 100.69
DA ~800ft. Island Dragway Friday night test & tune.

Just could not hook. Tried the Nitto 555Rii2 down to about 20psi to no avail, just would do 1.90 60ft. Ran in S exact last run in D. I have drag mode tuned into S. The car was spinning on shifts some, at least up to the 3-4 shift, I think even the 4-5. In more like 40 degree weather on an unprepared closed course, I have somehow hooked and have a logged time more than 0.5 seconds faster from 100.69 to 125.94 mph. (starting from a 50mph roll)

On the other hand, the mph was great and validates my work.
Self-tuned by me with hp tuners.

About 150lbs weight savings - wheels/tires, Baer rotors, lithium battery. Me with a helmet is probably 170. Estimated race weight w/ driver: 3780lbs.

Suspension is not really intended for drag racing. Steeda lowering springs, their adjustalbe shocks. Most of their rear suspension links, differential through bolt and bushings.

Car is a no-option GT other than the trans. Came with a 3.15, put in a junkyard Ecoboost 3.55
My fuel tested about E71 and is tuned as such.

Power mods:
Kooks 1 7/8 Longtubes with cats
Magnaflow muffler/resonator 12469
Borla S-type
Ported intake and throttle body
Steeda closed box air intake
Velossa air snorkel
Tuned with hptuners

275-40-17 Nittos in back
18" street wheels/tires in front
QA1 Carbon Fiber driveshaft
LH only DSS 800hp axle

On the last slip I ran a supposedly stock hellcat. He only trapped +1.5mph to my best but hooked like a monster on MTs, thus 10.80s.

Thanks for sharing the comparison runs. I probably would have run quicker with less power.

Nah, you just need a better tire,You'll knock off another quarter second dropping that 60 down

My base 2018 Gen3 PP1 ran 11,7xx at 122 with a 1.65 60'ft. Mod's were PBD E85 tune. LT's w/OR 3" Flowmaster Outlaw exhaust, Steeda cradle bushings. No wheel hop.

I was running the M&H 275/50-17 drag radial, I was going to get a 'drag mode' tune but the COVID nonsense shut everything down last spring and then that car was totaled.

Funny thing I bought a Hellcat and have ran a best of 7.022 @102.2 on those DR's.

I"m going to try Hoosier's Drag radial 2 in 275-40-17 first. (on new 17x10s) If that doesn't give me a full hook I will go to a wider and larger diameter tire like that.

I'm a roadcourse guy butnone thing is in common.
Tire type
Tire size
Both matters.
With all the respect Nitto is junk.
Get your self better tires and get a 18x11 rear to fit a 315. Music will change :)

Did you have 20psi in them cold? If so, I'm betting they got up to 23-25psi at the beams after a burnout. They will hook MUCH harder if they are at 17-18psi when ready to launch. Just an FYI. The suspension will hold you back more than the tire will.

I think I had set to 20psi just post a run... so maybe could have lowered a bit more. Eventually I'll get back out there with the Hoosiers. Thank you.

More like the track needs better prep. I did 1.87 60' times bone stock on P zeros. Must be a grease pit.

Thank you. I guess I have to just be a little different. Going to try this first:

Hoosier Drag Radial and Wheel.jpg

Hoosier "don't use them on the street" DOT drag radial. 17X10 Enkei RPF1. Tire 23.2 lbs and wheel 16.6lbs. Wheel is wide enough for 305s is these don't cut it and get me 10s.

Headed to dyno mid-July. Going to verify optimum spark, cam timing. Verifying how the power holds up in the rpms will let me know whether to put my shift points up a few hundred rpm.

Was just at the track last night, 2300ft DA went 11.68@119 with a 401a PP1 a10 gt. car has 1-7/8s LTH w/HF cats, JLT intake and tuned on e85 also has BMR cradle lockouts, and BMR vertical links and I run VMS wheels 17x10 on a 305/45R17 ET Street R. Thinking if my DA was as good as yours id be down in the 40s. Track succccked. My best 60ft last night was a 1.77 spinning the tires some.

My 2020 GTPP A10 went 11.72 @ 122mph with minimal mods, on stock Michelins. Full weight premium car + factory sub and aftermarket sub with my fat ass in it.

mods:
PBD E85 tune
K&N drop in filter
H-pipe (probably no HP gain, rest of the exhaust is stock)
Steeda Progressive Springs (probably hurt the launch)
Cheap $79 BMR vertical links
BMR CB010 bushing
