What I did after a few weeks was get ahold of the parts manager and told him the situation. After that he kept me in the loop and was super helpful. He told me it’s about half a days work to fix the bracket once it comes in.
Thats good to know, ill try to contact them at the dealer if it comes friday and its still not in.

Does anyone have any images of exactly what part it is and how the new replacement has been improved?

Did you all have to take your car to the dealer so they could take pictures before ordering the part? I've only called one dealer near where I work and that's what they told me. Checking with you all to see if that's SoP before calling around.

(disregard if this is re-posted)
Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this condition.
Description of the Cause : The root cause of this condition is insufficient design margins for noise factors within brake pedal engineering specification and design verification procedure.
The brake pedal bracket material was changed from nylon to polypropylene on
vehicles with automatic transmissions which resulted in reduced robustness to
spike stop loading for the particular design.

Only if that’s WHY you had the accident. If you said, “hey guys watch this” before you wrecked, I think you’re boned

ASK FORD ? must ask what does loosing control of the car have to do with a brake pedal?

Sure claim it, claim lighting struck the car, cause of the shark fin. Try any excuse to shift the blame of the root cause.
