So on my old mustang I enjoyed a level 2 sports clutch from steeda that was very hard/not as easy to push in and let out I think is best way to describe it. I dislike the factory clutch in my recent bought 2020 5.0. Is there any recommendations on another clutch or part for factory to make it stiffer? It just releases so easy and such small window if that makes sense.

Have you installed the Steeda clutch spring? If not, consider that first up. The stock spring is a ridiculous rate of 185lbs. Steeda's cuts it to 35lbs. This makes for a muuuch more linear clutch engagement.

thanks, I read where some have done that. Do you know if it’s not a hard install for someone that hasn’t done many installs before?

It's not hard at all. Reach under the dash witu a pair of vice grips, compress the factory spring, wiggle it off the perch. Vice grip the steeda spring to compress it, fit it onto the perch, release. Make sure it's seated properly. Drive!

Would you recommend the clutch spring assist or the clutch assist spring perch?
mine is 2020 GT

Just the spring. Though the steeda perch is stouter, the OEM perch is fine. You're not liable to be under there often enough to break the OEM perch, anyway.

This'n.

Went ahead and ordered the complete setup. Perch and spring. Fingers crossed! Thanks for the info

The Steeda clutch assist spring/ perch does help since the spring is a lower lb spring so it takes less effort and helps give a more connected pedal feel. As far as a clutch goes you could upgrade to a McLeod RST or Mantic that are going to hold more power and have a firmer pedal vs the stock clutch for sure.

So another question, my complaint with the factory clutch is it is way to easy to push the clutch in and it just has very little room where it pops into gear on the outward. Will the steeda perch and spring help with that? See some say it makes it easier, hoping that isn’t referring to ease of pushing pedal in and letting out is it?

Part of the "easy" is because the S550 clutch system is hydraulic, where older Mustangs were cable driven (more resistance). Even with different clutch springs, the hydraulic system will still feel "mushy".
