The Canadian KM gauge cluster was never updated for 2018 and beyond for some reason. They literally just forgot, lol.

Also, nice car. Where in Utah are you at?

I have an 18GT, PP1, 6sp convertible with digital dash. Redline is 7400 but rev limiter kicks in at 7200... very annoying and requires a lot of attention to avoid if you are running it through the gears. Why would the rev limiter kick in before redline? This is the one of the main reason I am considering getting a tuner.

Is the rev limiter higher if you use one of the performance modes like sport+, track or drag? Mine is a 10A but when stock, it shifted at 74-7500 and didn't hit the limiter.

My 19 6spd goes all the way to 7400 stock.

Doesn't matter what driving mode your are in. I drive in sport+ mode all the time and race mode a fair amount as the tach is easier to watch...No difference. Buddy of mine with identical car but a 19 had same issue until he got a tuner.

Ok...I wasn't sure. The 10A shifts at higher rpm in the performance modes so I thought maybe the rev limit also changed with the modes.

I bet switching that gauge out would be no big deal. That would personally be an annoyance to not have the proper gen3 redline reflected on the gauge.

Hey guys, I just bought a 2019 mustang gt and my rpm red lines at 6500. I thought 2018 and up red lined at 7500?
That's correct. I have a 19' and it red lines at 7500. Have you tried switching modes? Normal, Sport and track? Also placing the shifter in Sport.

It turns out that the Canada base model comes with old gauges lol

It's not hard to swap out the cluster. I changed mine to a 2018 in my 2015 to have the digital speedometer and the higher redline to match my Ford power pack. Bought one from LKQ out of a wrecked vehicle. Key is you have to get one with lower mileage than your car so you can update it to your actual mileage with forscan. For obvious reasons, forscan will allow you to increase mileage but not decrease it. Or there are folks who update the mileage for like $89.

When logging my manual 19 pp1 (performance pack tune but it doesn't change redline) it logs around 7350 give or take about 10. I've never gotten it at or above 7400, even when hitting the limiter on accident (feels like hitting a wall, not pleasant). So my limit is at or just before 7400.

The wrong set of gauges would definitely bug me but that doesn't mean the car can't rev that high. Have you tried going higher? If you're on the stock tune then don't worry about going over because of the aforementioned limiter. At least the numbers should be accurate. I'd be more annoyed at an improperly adjusted tach than a superficial line that wasn't accurate.
