My transmission tends to jerk noticeably when it transitions from second gear to first gear while I'm stopping at a light. I'm not sure if this is normal as a 10-speed auto. I mostly drive in normal mode. Any advice?

Yeah man, that’s what it does. It’s a high performance trans on a hot rod with an insane amount of power, not a grandma car from the malaise era lol. There’s nothing you can do, other than get rid of it if it bothers you too much

I have a 2019 GT A10 - my car is really smooth in normal mode. In sport mode it gets jerky. Have you read through the A10 mega thread? Lots of good info on there and helped me understand quite a bit about the transmission...

My wife has an LS500 with 10 speed that does pretty much the same thing.

Not an issue, just a characteristic.

Mine does it from time to time. Do a kam reset. Disconnect the battery for a few then reconnect. It will reset the adaptive learning and you can start fresh. It might be jerky the first few miles after doing it, but should smooth out. For whatever reason the adaptive learning gets wonky at times.

I used to do this on the 2020 GT I had but with my 2021 I still havent done anything and I'm already at 900 miles with no jerks or bucking.

He mentioned it happening when he's stopping. Driving harder isn't going to fix that. A simple kam reset should.
