That’s unfortunate. If it comes out weighing as much as a mountain, might just save a little more money and go for a used Mclaren 570s. No point having a mountain of horsepower if the car itself weighs as much as a mountain.
Well what you're asking for is a $120k+ Mustang. That's not happening. Not sure how one cross shops a GT500 and a 570S...even if the GT500 will be a track monster.

Man, that’s so tragic.

I really liked the look of the 6g camaro prior to the refresh. It looked modern, tough, and well designed.

The refresh just looks like a return to 90’s jellybean style. And it doesn’t mesh well on the new ZL1 at all. They should have just not touched the body at all on the top model.
The Camaro 6.5G looks awful (I loved the 6G), fortunately they didn't touch the ZL1 front end... So, S550 GT500 owners won't have to worry about looking at the awful rear end from the Camaro, since they will only see the front end from that ZL1 :ford:

Eh... I'm pretty sure he was talking about the ME Corvette or at least that's what I understood. I got lost if they changed to the GT500 again.

The 570 has a carbon tub and weighs 3,200-3,300lbs. The GT has a ton of heavy hydraulics so it weighs the same ~3,350lbs as the old GT. The C7 Z06 is 3,550lbs. An R8 V10+ is 3,627lbs.

An aluminum ME twin turbo DOHC could very well be 3,500-3,900lbs.

Ah. I thought he was talking about the GT500. I was so confused since this is the 2019 GT500 thread.

Moving right along, we arrive at the juicier details. Chevrolet will reportedly stick a 5.5-liter DOHC flat-plane crank V-8 engine under the hood, and it will produce at least 600 hp. Expect a redline much higher than in past Corvettes. Soon thereafter, C/D reported, the same 5.5-liter V-8 engine will receive two turbos to send horsepower to about 800
Camaro Z28... is that you?
