Update: once I got the car back home, I observed that whoever did the repair scratched up a bunch of parts under the hood. Everything from the intake to the manifold to the headlight. The painted parts under the hood were scratched as well.

i went back to the dealer demanding them to fix what they scratched. They agreed and took the car. After 2 weeks (last Thursday) I pick up the car - they fixed the scratches on the pained parts, but the scratches on the plastic were still there and they refused to fix it.

i call the service manager and his first response is: “I know what you’re talking about, I’ve seen your car and I’m not buying you thousands of dollars of parts”. I tell him I expect to get a replacement and immediately call my CSR at Ford. She then calls the service manager and arranges the car to be looked at on Monday. Apparently the service manager said “he’ll see what he can do”. FML.

This has been going on for so long now - first the car blowing up, then dealing with Ford and now the dealership, I’m exhausted.

take a look at a few pics of their work. If anyone is in the area: avoid Wyatt Johnson Ford like the plague.

let say that
1) most of the plastic scratches will come out with a foam bad buffer and some plastic polish, but it shows how much they cared about prep work
2) the painted parts are the worst it’s like they didn’t care
