Were there any pins available in the connector so that you don't have to notch the opening?

Maybe or maybe not. But the wire I was running 16G wouldn't fit through it anyways.

You should put some sort of grommet to protect the wire where it passes through the metal of the door. Looks awesome!
Edit - I took a better look -Looks like you notched the rear view mirror. That should be fine. I should have read the post lol.

Nice work ! Looks to be a little much for me to do it, (I hate electrical work) but I do have a friend that's good at it. I may look into this, but I have a few other things to get done first. Tow hook is one of them after having to be towed and the pita it was for the guy to hook the car up.

The wire does have rubber protector around it.

I did not do anything with the rear view mirror.

Did you have to route a wire from that location all the way to the drivers side?

I am also running 2 footwell led bars on the same terminal.

I will probably change it out to 2.5 amps just to be on the safe side. If it blow than I will gradually up the amps.

You have to be very careful and percise when the cutting the housing . Make sure you follow the inner outline lines on the mirror housing so you will have a nice fit. If it is too small gradually make it bigger.

Also, when running the wires in the door, make sure to run it on the existing wiring harness and zip tie it really good and away from the window rail. It is very tight and not really much space to get the zip tie around but it is doable.
