I've had a couple of days behind the wheel after my 2018 was delivered. I was kind of surprised to see it shift at about 5600 RPMs. I know in stock form, these motors lose power as they get into the upper RPM range but I expected it to shift a little higher. I believe I read some threads that mentioned close to 7000 RPMs with tuning and other mods. What are people seeing for shift points after a tune? That can be Cobb or an Etune. There are usually supporting mods to go along with those too.

Shift points will stay the same. Really shift no higher than 6000rpm. The stock turbo is already running out of steam before you get up to that rpm, but you can really feel after about 5000 really start falling off. shifting at 5600-6000 puts the car back in it's sweet spot. Hope that helps.

I am about to crack 6,000 miles in 6 months. The Rev limiter opens up to the red line after the break in period ends. Check out your owner's manual for the specific mileage it ends but I believe it is 2500.
With a manual and 3.31 rear end, I can take the engine to red line in 2nd gear and hit 60 mph.
I have added a K&N replacement air filter and a throttle body spacer. The top end has opened up more and smoothed out. Taking it to red line is now rewarding. adding a catted down pipe is my next mod and I expect the engine should rev out clean. When completely stock, it felt like the power fell off past 5500 rpm.

Given that I just got rid of my 16 eb and am now in a 2018 EB. I can still say that shifting past 6000rpm is utterly pointless. Just too small a turbo to go that high.

I installed the Cobb Stage 1 tune yesterday. Very noticeable different, especially in drag mode. There was to much traffic in my "test area" so I only did two 0-60 runs. One of them was 5.3 which is 3 tenths better than my previous best That launch with rushed so I think I might be able to shave some more off that time. Only other mods are a K+N replacement filter and Airaid tube.

With my stock tune I was seeing shifts around 5600/5700 RPMs in normal and sport modes. I don't remember if it was the same in drag mode. I believe it was. I saw drag mode shifts at 6500 with the Stage 1 tune. Each gear went through the the RPMs pretty quick. I only got on it hard once in normal or sport mode. That shift was around 5700.
