Something I learned yesterday: If you park where the sun can beat thru the polycarbonate windshield that likely has zero UV protection..it will SUPER HEAT the black steel roll cage and when your bare screen touches it to slide over into the seat, you will have many regrets...and will possibly curse out loud.
Should’ve got the tinted windshield. Even at night can see through it no prob.

Cuz you called the wrong dealer. Hehe. Just add “T” or “TDK” to the part number. T for tint 38% , tdk for dark 18%

All,

I put my impatient pants back on and called the race team @Procharger to chat about the crank support. I got really good information, including that I am within the top 5 people of the order list for the product. They will only have finished units for the top 5 people at first, so I could get a shipment as soon as this week, but could still not be until the end of the month. The machine shop is overrun causing the backup. I'm at least glad to know they can see my name specifically and see it at the top. If you order today, your wait sounds very long but shorter than mine was from March.

I tried to buy an MFP unit as well from Paramount and they didn't get back with me yet. First one at my door wins.

I got a tracking number from Procharger for the crank support. It'll be here by the end of the week. Time to find a dyno to rent.

Apparently I haven't paid close enough attention bc I just came to a realization. Here are some facts:
  • A 2018 "twin" car to mine that had an f1a94 made ~20ish lbs of boost on a 4.5" pulley
  • 2015-2017 stage 2 procharger crank pulleys are 8"
  • 2018+ stage 2 procharger crank pulleys are 7.65"
  • My car made 30+psi of boost on a 4.5" pulley
  • The twin car to mine had the proper 2018 7.65" crank pulley
  • My 2018 has the 8" 2015-2017 crank pulley bc that's what I bought not knowing any better, part # 3FWDR-002 that I got from Brute Speed
This explains why my setup made more boost and was an absolute freaking handful on the street. For the crank support I had to buy a new crank pulley, I got the 7.65". This will bring my boost down to probably more like what the twin car to mine made (rpm being another factor). This may mean I can step down on the pulley size if I need to on the blower.

Well, That Essplains it! It's amazing how such a seemingly small mistake can make such a huge difference. Glad you sorted that one out! Phew!

That's only a 3,150 blower rpm difference between the two cranks. 72,000@7500 compared to 68,850. That small difference isn't going to make a 10 lb difference. BUT being as boost psi is an arbitrary number.... Different setups, different tunes, different weather conditions etc. The smaller crank pulley might barely take away some of the meanness, but you signed up for mean. LOL
