Are there any valvebody upgrades for the 10 speeds yet?

I even dropped down to a 3.25 pulley .
I was going to go down to a 3.375 but the pulley I bought used had the wrong offset so I broke out the 3.25 grip tech I had been saving as my “kill” pulley .
I picked up 10 mph switching to the latest tune for C16 (has a couple more degrees of timing than the Ms109) and picking up 2 psi from the smaller pulley )
The 81.5 belt I was running with the 3.5 pulley is a little too long(need 81.0) but I think the grip tech pulley works as load went up by 10 (167-177) ... not sure what the unit is .

This is a great thread .
I roadcourse my 10speed (paddle shifting)
As we know cooling is main issue for gen3.
Trans started to hesitate in ulshifting and especially downshifting because temps reached 240f .
Situation got worse and problem started to occur around 225f.
I got it on camera
( )

Rev after 5 sec was me downshifting from 7th to 6th and trans slipping .
Ford has decided to swap my transmission.
They were in back order so I've decided to take the car back home .
3 blocks after car decided to autobrake from 40 to 0 in 2 sec
Morale .CLUTCHES ARE GONE. And car can't move without having this autobraking every 10ft.
I'm considering upgrading clutches /valving for track duty.
I'd like to share some thoughts with you please.

Thanka in advance
Alex

I think road racing it would be fun, feeling the shifts all over the place would be cool.
They just got clutches for these a few months ago, I haven't seen any other parts out for them yet.

Well
I believe a paddle shifting will be always faster. Yes i would love a DCT ..bit this is what our car offers now. Although ZL1 1LE ton"compete" agaist the GT500 put on the 10speed so the base of this trans is good rnough for this duty too. (And 1LE is for roadcourse) .
And yes I'm goinh in the opposite direction of the purists about. Roadcourse=manual.
All the competions are paddle shifting And we all know why .

For valves or clutches .
I have no experience on how a 10r80 works. No many has .
So I'm just wondering if it could make sense to "improve" components that could be an issue for my trans ..clutches valving or toruqe converter i. E .

But again
If this doesn't make sense i will just focus my attention on putting in the biggest cooler I can .
I appreciate your input Notogain.
Thanks again

My opinion would be that if you are under 700hp, run the stock trans and converter. A higher stall would just add heat and in your world where it is very important to control that. You could benefit from the McLeod clutches only if you have slipping. I think you are right, find the biggest, baddest cooler and have fun!

UPDATE: The new Ford Valvebody eliminated my shifting flares/rpm spikes between 5/6 gears.
I just got done installing it, registering the new valvebody/strategy numbers to the car and went for a ride going through the adaptive learning patterns. No flare ups or rpm spikes in between 5th and 6th like I have been battling.
I can definitely feel the converter now and ready to begin more testing soon.

Hey man
Not sure if my trans is slipping but miserable failure at the track today .
I got the latest tune from my tuner which was supposed to increase shift RPM and allow to ne to stay in 6th thought the traps .
Car short shifted every gear and does not looks like it out any power down .-trapped 115.
Logs otherwise looked perfect with usual load /timing /negative knock /fuel .
No noises from motor or smoke or coolant loss
No codes .
It will rev to 6500 then short shift .
I had been getting a lot of the rpm flares in almost any gear .
May be I should looks at the valve body before I go replacing the clutches ?

Ugh, I’m sorry to hear that... my rpm flares were distinctively between gears / like a free rev during shifts. I wonder if yours aren't clutches by looking at that mph.
Even though my car had the RPMs spikes it would still go high nines at 145.
It was only a very light pedal pressure leaving from a stoplight where mine flared around 5th and 6th.
Such an odd deal.. I kinda wish I had a 6r80.

It ran fine on Sunday trapping 140 mph
You can see the 6/7 short shift killing mph .
