Why I ordered a 2017 Ford Mustang GT instead of a 2018.
Ford is doing something completely UnAmerican giving the
consumer fewer options. I would have maybe ordered a
2018 if I had more information.

Claustrophobic Camaros
I was a Chevy owner for years, including two Camaros, and I really wanted to like the 2011 Camaro when I was looking for a car, but it was just too claustrophobic and blind to the rear quarter, so I bought my GT instead and haven't looked back... Planning on an '18 GT whenever they finally become available.

So the with this chart, it states 2018 Taurus is 7/18... does that mean I can get the numbers for the Taurus before the Mustang? Will they have a SHO? I hear it was Aussie designed. Still not a Falcon.....

Actually I think Taurus only limited to China for now and the order is for Police Taurus for 2018?SHO will carry on - 365hp, 360lb-ft just like it's been since 2010.
If the SHO was released again with the old engine, it will look very dated due to a smaller MKZ offering 400HP/400TQ or the Fusion Sport now with more torque than a SHO.

You can still get the civilian Taurus for 2018:

The SHO is still at 365hp/360lb-ft. Rumors have had it that the reason it's not as high as say, the F150's Ecoboost is due to the AWD system and trans.
It's a shame that they are letting the Taurus die like this. It's a great car - I've had my SHO since December 2009 and this is the longest I've had a car. It's an awesome highway cruiser.

I'd be shocked if the 7/24 date for the Mustang is correct. I was at my local dealer on Friday and was told it would be a few weeks before they could be ordered.

I have been in contact with my dealership as well. He said there will be no more orders for any type of 2017 MY versions taken after 7/24/17. He also said the earliest to order a 2018 Mustang would be sometime in September. I had hoped for late August, but this is what he told me. :faint:

I would be inclined to believe that. If it was tomorrow, Ford would have more info out about them. Either way, I told my dealer to contact me ASAP as soon as they could be ordered. Queue the shut up and take my money gif.
This Mustang will be my first Ford owned since 1994 time frame and my first new Ford.
