Curious, but how many of you are out there?

I caught fire, and while I'm no forensic fireman, the fuel line melted/snapped at the direct injection pump, catching the passenger head on fire, and the upper coolant hose melted at the firewall/evap core.

So, that sucked. Recently, somebody popped their head in asking if anybody could help with part numbers, and well, fresh off the rebuild, I had them.

But that then got me to thinking... A) that's really eerily similar to what happened to mine B) we both have 2018 GT's, and now C) what are the chances that it's just us? This is the first time they've done direct injection, and I know you're supposed to wait a year with things, but ... who else knows or directly had this same issue with the fuel line bursting?

Looks like a broken stud at the HPFP.

Good eyes, however that is not to distract from the second picture. I'd find it hard to believe that the only two who have had this issue are track rats 50 miles away from each other. I hear everybody talking about how they drive their cars like they stole them, professionally race from a roll, and so in theory this'd be a more common occurrence, no?

... I mean, unless people lie on the internet. :)

Another reason to get rid of gi joe spaceship engine cover ,to inspect for fuel leaks .
This is actually scary .As time goes by and these engines get older ,I can also foresee alot of issues with Heather hoses and other plastic lines failing and leaking . Does not take much to break the clips that hold the lines in place . Any fuel leak is unacceptable!! Hopefully Ford does safety Bulletin to have this issue inspected.
