2018 Mustang Gt ticking noise

This is a new sound which I dont remember hearing before. I only hear it on cold starts then goes away after a few minutes. Any guesses?

Might be normal then? Might have something to do with the direct injection but I don't remember hearing that sound before.

Side note, the fans on my car use to turn on every time I locked the vehicle after turning it off. Now it no longer turns on anymore even though its hotter outside. :shrug:

Sounds like the BBQ tick that a lot of the 5.0's have in both Mustang and F150.

We should get Jalopnik to do an article about these engine issues. They covered the Focus RS head gasket failures and Ford magically did a recall a few weeks later.

While you are at it, mention the AC issues that are bound to be an issue even on the 18's. Mine just went out.

hello from Germany, mine has the same noise. it comes from the exhaust clap i think. goes away when it is warm. cheers from berlin

Pop the hood on a cold start and see if its coming from the High pressure fuel pump that's on the passenger side valve cover.

yes you are right, These noises are there aswell and they are normal vor all the injectors. I thought that we talk about the ticking noises from the back of the car. i heard them directly comming from the exhaust clap. this is normal asweel because the claps open even when the car is in silent mode. when the exhaus pressure is high they have to open. thats my understanding oif the issue.
