My local dealer found the specs I was looking for. I go to the website and the window sticker MSRP does not match the MSRP on their site. I call up and they said they added a rousch cold air intake, (had to cut the engine cover). Tinted the rear sides and back window. Blacked out the front/rear and side badges. Their site also listed car having 130 miles on it.

I went out to test drive it and when I started it it shows 484 miles. I ask the salesman why so many miles when the site has it at 130. He said the owner took the car home for the weekend. What?

Anyway, their out the door price was $48,500. I showed them the exact specs minus their mods from koons ford with OTD of $44,200 and they gave me some bullshit about their cost, and blah blah blah.

Told them the best I can do is $42,000 because of the 500 miles on the car already.

Just wondering what some thoughts are on this dealership, Bob Ruth Ford, and how they expect to put their own mods on it, take it for weekend rides and still expect to sell it as a new car?

Edit: Car I was looking for is Magnetic, Koons was kona blue.

My car had 21 miles on it at pick up and built first of May 18. The other car same specs different color had 666 on it. Was not hard decision. Lol.

I paid $45,000 and my car had 3 miles on it so you offering $42,000 is what I'd offer plus they added shish that you didn't ask for them to add. Tell me to take the $42,000 or you go elsewhere. Good luck bro.

I have no plans on buying this car from this dealer. I gave him my price and he said no, and I was out the door.

Back to my original plan of waiting until Jan and putting a order in with my local dealer using a X-plan which I do not have now.

Was just wondering how dealers think they can get away with this. Thats all.

The car was probably sold to someone who took it home, modded it, then decided they couldn't afford it or their wife was not happy with them. So they took it back within the grace period and wiped their hands clean. Now the dealer is trying to sell it new(which they can actually claim since it was never finalized)???

Just thinking..

No way the dealer did those mods.

Perhaps there was false info on financing and the car got pulled back. The dealer may have been the one to falsify the financing too. Although that is harder to get away with now.

MSRP on that car is $47,365. It was originally delivered to Koons Ford of Baltimore on 12/29/2017, so they aren't even the original dealer. I would run from that as fast as I could.

Best you can do is $42? More like best you can do is $36K.

My $44K MSRP Mustang was sold to me for <$35K before tax.

From who? How many miles?

Between you and me, I had no plans on buying that car when I went out there. I did not even bring a check.
Only wanted to test drive it because of the magnaride.

Just thought I would share my experience with a dealer as such with mods and a lot of miles

When I was looking at a 2018 I got a real price from several dealers. Best was a bit more than 5K off the sticker. Tax was extra.

i agree with the homies. Go to another dealer. If they want to drive their brand new cars and add miles to them that's on them. Sounds like someone joy rided it to me
