We finally caught the 2018 Mustang GT and EcoBoost out testing in a few colors/wheels combinations.

Here are Shadow Black, Lightning Blue and the new Royal Crimson. The Royal Crimson EcoBoost prototype can be seen wearing the new 19-inch Ebony Black Painted Aluminum Wheel. See this thread for more about the new wheels.

We'll update this as more are captured (Orange Fury is likely coming soon). Enjoy

Even though I'm not a fan of the refresh, on the lightning blue one the frontend looks great.

Definitely looks better on darker colours but I still don't like how much the front end drops away when you look at it in profile. Looks too much like a Jaguar XK and doesn't match the rear.

The blue looks good, but I agree with some of the above comments, the front drops too much. The 15'17' drop looked just right IMO. I like the 15'-17 headlights better as well. I also would have liked to see a GT350 track pack spoiler design. Over all it's not that bad. I think the new engine, suspension, exhaust, transmission, etc. will make up for it.

The side profile is just ugly. The front "splitter" is awful sits to high. The whole car sits to high.

Great pics. Hopefully we will see a GT in Kona at some point.

Are those "accent" stripes on the tops of the front n rear fenders on the black car? At first I thought it might be light reflecting from the camera flash, but I'm not so sure :)

Sure are! Could do without them for sure.

I'm liking the Royal Crimson color, it's a nice addition. Those accent stripes leave little to be desired, as does that spoiler. Still not digging the front end refresh or hood. I think it's cool that they added tribute to the 68 style hood, which I absolutely loved on my 68, but to me this seems like it's a downgrade from the 15-17 hood.

Good view of the new Windshield with the Lane Assist Sensors.
Lower view of Splitter is just too flat.

Ok now after seeing these, I'm sure that the headlight shape is what kills the look for me. I don't love the redesigned facia but if the headlights still had the swoop back to an upward point, instead of the droopy look, it would change it dramatically.
