I know this was posted in our 2018 Mustang info thread but here is the press release and images for anyone that may have missed it.

Note that Ford has confirmed we can expect the 2018 Mustang in showrooms in October.

NEW APPEARANCE PACKAGE FOR 2018 MUSTANG PUTS THE PONY LOGO BACK IN A CHROME CORRAL

DEARBORN, Mich. - The pony is going back into the corral. An available Pony Package for the 2018 Mustang – offered with EcoBoost®-equipped cars – gives a nod to the nameplate heritage with its grille-mounted pony-in-corral badge design.

As it was more than 50 years ago, the iconic Mustang logo will be surrounded in a chrome corral for the 2018 Ford Mustang-equipped Pony Package. The badge design first appeared on Mustang in the mid-1960s when the car was still in concept phase. It has appeared in various forms since, and was last used as part of an anniversary package for 2015.

The pony-in-corral grille badge is one of numerous appearance updates included with the 2018 Pony Package. Other features include:
  • 19-inch polished aluminum wheels
  • Bright beltline and window trim for fastback model
  • Premium carpeted floor mats with Ebony embroidered pony logo
  • Side stripes on lower body sides
  • Tri-bar pony badge on rear decklid appliquĂ©
  • The 2018 Mustang is due in showrooms this October.

Those look like the 15-17 Ecoboost 19" Performance Package wheels, just painted a different color...

the front coral is old news...
i have this on my 2015....as part of the 50 anniv. package.
i must be the only one who has it because everywhere i go it seems im the only one with a coral around my pony....
and even more rare on the CO color also....

Nothing new...

So it gets:
1) 50th Anniversary appearance upper grille
2) V6 rear deck lid appliqué (with colored tribar)
3) 2015-2017 EB PP rims that are now chromed
4) Floor mats that were available in the 2017 "Pony Package"
5) 50th Anniversary chrome (or chrome-like) window/belt trim
6) A sticker on lower door edge

I don't see real any "upgrades", other than the obvious 2018 redesigned areas.

The colored tribar rearpanel is really great. I'm guessing there will be a good amount of retro-fit interest in that part :D

I think the pony corral grill looks great on the 18s and really helps to break up the larger grille on the 18s. If I were to get a non-Bullitt 2018 I'd be really temped to retrofit this grille on a GT.

Looks so much better without the giant rear spoiler.

I might consider ordering the taillights and decklit for my '15, still not fond of the noise though

Pony Package has had the Chrome Window Trim (along with some Euro Packages)

I can't handle those grills. It's just too much bling for my liking. Blacking out the already too flashy emblem was the first thing I did to mine when I got it home.

Really hating this configuration. Looks like someone went down the accent aisle at autozone with a blindfold on and grabbed one of everything.

As much as it did not on the 2015 that grill really works on the new front end. Might get me one of those for my Bullitt.

And though I'm not a fan of rocker stripes this design immediately blows away all the existing aftermarket ones.
