Morning guys!

Has anyone ever swapped 2018+ front end parts onto their 2015-2017 cars? Curious if this has been done, and what all parts needed to be changed. I would imagine the list of parts might be on the long side, but just wondering if uts been done...

Thanks!

The front core structure is different on the 2018+, that is how Ford was able to get the front end sloped down more for driver visibility.

You would have to change:
Hood
Fenders
Inner fender splash shields
Front bumper cover and all associated parts behind it
Core support
Upper L & R inner fender extensions from core

That's not even touching any wiring, BCM's or programming for the 2018+ headlight/parking light/fog light conversion.

2018+ headlights, parking and fog are all LED.

Good luck and post up if you do it.

I've seen it done the opposite way. In fact I had posted a thread on here a bit ago that was a repaired 2019 S550 wreck. The Seller converted it to the 2015-2017 front end (why, I have no idea). It was from a Craigslist ad, so it wasn't actual "tech" anywhere on here.

If you do go through with it, post up your progress as I'm sure maybe others may be interested.

Vorshlag did it on there Trigger S550 car full front end conversion to 2018+ spec. It can be done find the tread on google about the car as there is full details how to do it. It will be expensive but I guess most parts could be found in salvage yards as well.

Maybe but i'm in the minority but I like the 15-17 headlights way more. It's one of the main reason's I didn't get the 2018.
