Not sure where you got those numbers but going by memory those numbers do not look accurate to me.

:sunglasses:
I found it on the internet, so it must be true.

Seriously, I dunno, it's been posted around a bit.

I just called FP and was told that for 2018 they made 4,378 total GT350/R's (combined). He said the breakdown sheet will likely be available in 2-3 weeks from now.

I asked about the updated pistons & rings as long as I had them on the phone. He said Ford is pretty tight lipped about exactly what they did, when they did it and why. He thought it was to address both piston slap and oil consumption, but he wasn't sure (I can't see how slap can be eliminated if that's a function of a forged piston though).

Lastly, I asked when those changes were made, exactly. Again, he said that info is locked up in Niche plant like Fort Knox. Oh well, I tried.

The good news for this `18 owner is how low production was for 2018. Couple that with my Lead Foot Gray color and hopefully I have a pretty low volume car.

I’ve got LF grey with no stripes and convience packsge so I’m guessing that’s a low number too.

I couldn't do w/o AC. Never a base for me. But I ain't tracking mostly either.
I don’t want or need a radio, ac, back seats etc. for me, less is more. But since mines not a base, I’m not going to remove the radio or ac. I just simply never use either of them.

No, haven't heard anything. As far as I know it's the same as 16/17 5 to 6,000 units.
Jim, I don't recall.... is yours a base or electronics?

Honestly it's the same for me. Having a Base R would be cool. Without AC in TX is NOT cool.

Think of a base R as a winter car.....
Love the Base R for all of its purity and I thought about that. But I can't stare at it for 7-8 months out of the year down here. I'm not a collector. I'm a driver. I wanted an R so I got the R that fits.

One for the summer and one for the winter. Even in the summer, it can still be driven. If you could only have one, I would agree with your assessment.

I do well but I ain't rich like you! My wife is totally cool with me indulging myself with a new a new toy from time to time as you can see in my sig. But she probably wouldn't understand why buy an R for each season tho. Lol.

Mine - 2018 GT350R - Black/Stripe Delete - R Electronics - Car Cover
Hers - 2015 Stingray Z51 Convertible - M7 - Arctic White - Adrenaline Red - Chrome wheels - Red Calipers - Dash Plaque
2016 Challenger Hellcat - B5 - A8 - Sunroof - Brass Monkeys
2014 GT500 - Ruby Red - Shaker 1000 - Recaros - SVTPP
2012 Boss 302 - #1930 - Race Red/Blk

I'm sure your wife is ok with it because you sufficiently buttered her up with that Z51. Nice move.
