Should you only run unleaded 100 octane race fuel and do you recommend using VP Racing Octanium for your Whipple Tune on the stage 2 kits?
Unleaded fuel is best for O2 and cat life. I ran Octanium before, it works but its hard on O2 sensors. I tried Boostane and I honestly run it in every car I own. It's incredible. So far, spark plugs, o2 sensors, all good. Many of my employees run it when they go to the track, it really helps us pump gas guys. 93 is so much better than 91 octane, we find it to be a net difference of 4deg of timing in general. If you run 1/2 a can of Professional boostane per full tank, a 91 octane customer will hold 2-4 deg's more timing at WOT nearly every run. We don't have nearly as much experience with it on 93, but on 91, its big for the simplicity of it.

I'm very glad to see someone from your company coming forth and explaining the differences in runs. It benefits the community and gives me a lot more trust in your product. Transparency when it comes to how you run your engine/setup is worth a ton so I commend it. Please continue to do this, for what it's worth you'll earn my business and I'm sure many others
Thank you, we always try to be as transparent as possible. After lots of testing in the winter, releasing a new kit in the summer is not good marketing LOL. But as before, we continue to push and found some area's that we can do even better, but we have to test which always takes time. We want customers to have fun with these incredible machines so we're updating the cals as soon as we find new things. Lots to come :)

Honestly not sure I even want to bother with the 3.875 pulley since I am only going to be running 93 or MS109(or boostane ) . I wonder if Whipple will let you exchange it for a 3.75 ?

Is that going to be the E85 tune . Will you be able to upgrade from stage 2 ?
It would be nice to stick to the whipple tune and not have to go after market.
Stage 1 and 2 can be upgraded to stage 3. Stage 3 is very Flexible so to speak....

Is there a chart that roughly shows the boost with each pulley?
I'm thinking with my o/r 1 7/8 headers that I'll also go ahead and upgrade my stg2

Here's a sample guide.

PULLEY/BOOST/132MM TB
SC Pulley/Boost/stock balancer
4.000" 9.5
3.875" 10.5
3.750" 11.5
3.625" 12.5
3.500" 13.5
3.375" 14.5
3.250" 15.5
3.125" 16.5
3.000" 17.5
2.875" 18.5
2.750" 19.5

20% OD is worth just over 5psi.
Long tubes with cats drops boost .5-1.0psi.
Long tubes with no cats drops boost 1.0-1.5psi.

Many other factors can vary boost +/- 1psi.

You'll have tomorrow, we applied Ford's latest trans release, along with some other shift schedule changes. This 10-speed is a pain to get perfect for all. I really like where this latest file is at. For those that don't have drag mode, sport mode is similar now. Not exact, but sport is very aggressive and normal mode is basic. Snow/Eco are pretty lame and almost stock :) If you have drag mode, rpm shift points are slightly higher.
Thanks again for all you do, we have 93 here in Ohio, I’ll still run some boostane whenever I dyno it and race it hard

Awesome, yeah I'll definitely be wanting to step up to the 3.75 now as well if the stg2 ships with .85.

Doing cs/opg at the same time as the install for a little added insurance. I'm probably going to have to upgrade the fuel system from the dual pump ID1000s but I'm curious how much extra the DI will help with it.

My understanding is the Whipple cal will pull 4 or add 4 depending on knock or no knock. I've seen 20 max timing on Whipple call with good gas 93 on the 3.75" pulley stock exhaust and now see 20 on 93 and 10 oz of Boostane to each tank on a 3.5" pulley with catless long tubes.
18’s can pull 6 and add 4 at low load, add 2 at wot. 4 was just too much.

With the DW pump and some id1000, if you add a bap, you can run 3.625” on e85, without a return style fuel system. This will make a ton of power.

Yup, that's the best way.
What's kind of gains or boost gains does the 150mm tb yield? It requires machining and the carbon tube? Some websites are showing it is an upgrade without additional machining included, and some of the description makes it sound like the blower neck already can fit 150mm.

For those of us with good pump 93 available and the stage 2 kit, would we see any noticeable gains running VP Unleaded Xtreme or adding a meth kit?
