Full weight 18’ A10 premium PP with a full tank of gas and groceries in the trunk lol. Not bad at all

I would say it’ll be another 100lbs once the blower is installed.

That is an awsum picture of a Mustang. I like the angle it was photographed from. I had heard the Mustang GT weighs about 200 pounds more than an Ecoboost Mustang. My 6sp manual trans Ecoboost weighs 3640 pounds. I would say 200 pound difference must be about right. I would like to know what a 6sp trans Mustang GT weighs.

Weight is a real killer and 1736kg is just about OK - it compares with the Audi RS5 and Porsche 911, as long as you have the power it will still be fast BUT...

400kg less would be more like it !

Alpine A110 1150kg
Lotus Evora 1320kg

The handling of these cars (and related ride quality) are in a different league to anything a Mustang can manage - I can speak from experience.

There could be a whole new thread on this but I would encourage anybody and everybody to at least try one of these two (even if you don't go to the sub 1000kg Lotus Elise) to experience what weight (or lack of it) does to handling. I appreciate it will not be easy to drive either in the US as the Alpine is not sold officially and the Evora in short supply..

Having said all that the Mustang is a GT car so not expected to be especially light.

My Evora has been no problem - I think the 'Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious' tag doesn't really apply any more. However that wasn't really the point of the post - more the difference in driving experience with regards to weight.

Interesting interviews here on the subject

I have 3 buddies with different lotus' and they are all trying to sell them bc they have had nothing but problems.

They look nice and handle amazingly though. I test drove their cars. Lol. Just not my cup of tea with imo..better..more reliable options for the price.

Nice to see some people are weighing their Mustangs. 3800 pounds must be one of the lower weight Mustang GTs.

Lotus uses Toyota powertrains, so they're quite reliable mechanically. I think the problems they have are electrical, but at least nowhere as bad as the old British car days.
