Hi guys,

I started this thread in the Photo subsection without audience...

Looking to recap a bunch of pictures of the so-called Carbon Sport Interior Package (with Alcantara inserts in seats and doors) in the flesh, as a decition-helper towards does of us thinking to get it insead of other options (as it cannot be combined with fancy premium interior, although in Europe we can spec it without loosing the digital dash (as it is standard here).

Remember: carbon fiber instrument panel and shift knob, ebony leather-wrapped seats with Alcantara detailing, as well as Alcantara door inserts.

Please add your pictures!

Pictures from Europe (thank you Mazman! feel free to add more should you have)

I’d get this pack if it could be combined with 401a, but the benefits of 401a greatly outweighs the alcantara, IMO.

It's nice but there needs to be more to justify the price.

I like it, but it bugs me that Alcantara is treated as a premium materiel. It's fine, but it's a synthetic microfiber. Specifically is it "Ultrasuede", a synthetic suede invented by Toray Industries in Japan in 1970, manufactured in Italy by a subsidiary of Toray.

Alcantara should be a cheaper (in price) materiel than natural leather.

I can agree with you there it's nice but leather is nicer, I wish they would use more carbon fibere. For the price they should be putting way more carbon fiber in the interior. The center consul is literally begging for it. Same with the steering wheel and metal bits on the doors.

Here's a few of mine. I really like it. The Alcantara is nice and grippy, and the dash looks nicer than the spun aluminum finish which looks kind of cheap to me.

Is Alcantara high maintenance or high wear? Just asking because it seems a lot of folks unload the GT350 Alcantara steering wheels awfully quick...

I’ve only had mine for a couple of months, so too soon to tell. So far I don’t notice any wear. I love the way it feels on the seats though. If it wears I’ll eventually recover the seats I guess... I don’t care, I’m digging it! I also like the fact that not many people have this package.

I also got the black accent package... did I NEED to spend X dollars on a black roof, badges, and wheels... hell no! Could I have done it for less myself... probably... do I regret getting it... not for a second! It’s badass as far as I’m concerned. F what everybody else thinks!

I wish we could find out the part number for the shift knob and order it.

I had Alcantara seats in my Mazdaspeed3 which I owned for 7 or 8 years, and they still looked brand new when I sold it.
