Ive been thinking about this for months now and I now have saved enough money to buy one. I have always wanted a 2011-12 GT500 but now that these 2018-20 GT 10 speed automatics came out Im starting to think twice. I wont be daily driving the car and I plan on just adding a couple bolt ons and having a fun street car that occasionally sees the drag strip. I am asking help from people in this forum to help me decide which I should go with?

A Procharger is technically "bolt-on". That'll get you 600 ponies right out the box, and make for a much quicker drag car for sure. Even stock, the a10 GT will beat out the GT500. As far as street manners go, you can't beat the IRS in these new models. The GT500 is cool for sure, but it's simply outclassed by the s550.
A friend of mine had a bolt-on 2010 GT500 with around 680 ponies that thing moved 100-200 km/h on the street in cold temperature 8.2 seconds. Don't think a GT could do that. Also was amazing fun car. Sadly he sold it :(.

If it's a daily though I think the newer GT's have a lot of creature comfort over an S197 GT500.
