2018-23 RTR Splitter

So I got the RTR splitter and noticed after installation that the middle portion has some ripples and even a dent in the left half. Also there are some parts that are just darker than the rest. I thought that was maybe extra factory oils and thought trim shine would make it all blend together as one shade but that didn’t work. Can’t send it back due to the return policy on already installed products. Is there a simple fix to these things that doesn’t involve uninstalling it because it’s not that big of a deal to me but it just kinda throws it off a bit especially in the sun. Thanks.

Personally I would have whoever you bought it from replace it. That's factory defect and there is no way I could live with it looking like that! Like I said, my personal opinion.

I wonder if the ripples would come out with a heat gun. Would be risky, because if you heated it too much, it might be worst.

I actually ended up taking it off and putting my stock one back on because I saw it at a certain angle in the sun again and it just looked terrible. And then I used a hairdryer to see if I could heat it up and at least push the big dent out from the other side but couldn’t. The plastic is just too hard. Should’ve just bought the eBay knockoff for a third of the price.
