2018/2019 stock 10 speed Automatic 1/8 mile times. Please be honest.

Ok took my 2019 10 speed Automatic to the a track in Texas. 1.98 60 foot best I could get with drag Radials. No issues with spinning at all. Ran a 8.22 at 90 mph. What are your experiences??

Mustang is as base as you can buy one. Only option was the 10 Speed automatic. I have the 3:15 gears

There are so many variables that it is a bit misleading to make direct comparisons. DA, track prep, driver technique, driver weight, mods, options on the car, etc. can all affect the results. I ran 7.72 @ 94.14 with stock engine but drag radials. The DA was in the 800 range. My car has 401a and all options except PP. Earlier in the summer, in 3000 DA, I couldn't get under 8 seconds on stock 255 tires.

Best was 7.77 in the 1/8th. 100% stock, full weight, On factory P zeros with 340# driver. this one was 7.78, but I do have one with a 7.77.

Love it how are you Launching the car ?? I know most of what Im seeing is in the 60 Ft times
My car is as base as you can purchase one only option on my car was the 10 Speed Automatic I have the 3:15 rear gears

I try to launch around 1500 or a bit more. My tracks are about 2 hours away and I have been a little concerned about axle breakage so I don't launch it like I stole it. This year, I upgraded the driver's side axle so I might get a bit more aggressive. Currently, my best 60 is 1.87. Best quarter mile is 11.89.

The base car does not have the drag strip mode so that is a disadvantage. You could get a tune and have them make your Shifter S position about as aggressive as a dragstrip mode. 301a and higher trim levels have a dragstrip mode that shifts VERY firm and fast.....probably worth 2-3 tenths over a base car without that mode.

Here is a video with a gentle launch but a high 11 second run.

Yeah as Bruce stated without the toggle drag mode option your a mid 12 car in average DA. I had my doppelgänger car same day at the track. We where both base black 18 GT’s a10’s with pp1 option. His best e.t. was 12.48 @ 113 mph with 1/8 tank fuel. Mine with 3/4 tank with tune on E85 (only mod) was 11.91 @ 117.5. DA was 2650-2700 with 10-12 mph SW wind. Track faces west @ 1500’.

I hope to run again as my tuner has bumped up both the ignition timing and VCT timing since that run. Good luck.

I was launching at 1500-1800 RPM, in Drag mode. I have a 301A mid level, so drag mode helps. Only went to the track once. Also, I do have 3.55 gears.

Do you A10 guys ever launch in 2nd to try and mitigate wheelspin? Just curious.
I have no wheelspin at launch with DRs. With stock tires, my only issue was wheelspin and bad wheelhop on the 1-2 shift.

Not possible without a tune. Lund is the only one I'm aware of right now offering a 2nd gear leave option.
It is possible to launch in 2nd using the paddles but as others have stated, naturally aspirated cars would not benefit from doing it.

Left side with BMR CB005 rear space frame lock out kit. Right side all stock. The extra 1.5 MPH in the 1/8 might be from the lock out kit preventing wheel hop. Both runs were traction limited.
