Clearly there will be two. Like usual.

But even if there is one, doesn't mean the current one is sticking around.
Huh?

The current one?

We're conjecturing a 500 powerplant... There is no current one. And with the structural integrity of the Voodoo block I'm sure it will be a great starting point for a slightly larger displacement TT Hellcat destroyer. M

I'm so hoping Ford doesn't go supercharging...

I'm hoping for a 5.8L or larger version of the Voodoo. Twin Turbos would be nice, I think a SC will be used.
The larger 5.8 could be used as a N/A Mach1 only motor.
A F-150 version to offset cost and bolster the truck lineup could be possible.

I could see the 5.8L, as I think the 6.2L has been phased out of the F150. I at least see a 5.4L and agree with thePill on that.

One thing is for sure... The Voodoo block will be strong enough to handle some serious power so I'm encouraged to see some nice manipulation of that block for use across multiple vehicle lines.

Bro. Serious?

You were talking hipo options.

The gt350 is clearly one.

Hope that squares it for you.

Pretty sure everyone realizes the GT500 replacement isn't currently available.

Moving on...

Agreed about the supercharging.

No sense in developing top notch high tech Ecoboost 4 and 6 but then be like "aw yeah... Those here thang with them 8 cylinders... Let's just slap another supercharger on it and call it a day."

Ecoboost v8 would rock the automotive world in both performance and economy.

Agreed... If Audi can make a 4200-pound car with a TTV8 and AWD get 29mpg, I'm excited to see what Ford can do.

I could see a detuned version of that 5.2 in the Mach 1, a more specialty vehicle than the GT. GT I could see a special intake 5.0 motor making 460HP or something to that degree. GT500, 5.2 twin turbo would be stout and a power house. I'd really like to see a twin turbo high HP 5.2 in this new GT500 with the same tech as whats going into the raptor with the port and direct injection to keep carbon buildup to a minimum. Throw in the 10 speed auto and I'll be drinking coffee running high 10's on the street ;) Might as well round it out to 808HP

There's something coming at least we all know that. Ford obviously has a lot of tricks in the hat still and I think over the next year or two we are going to have a lot of variety that makes everyone happy.

You said hipo. Not 500.

That was the context.

No one was ever referring to 3 gt500s.

I am all for Ford keeping things simple for the 2019 GT500. I just want an aluminum headed supercharged SOHC 6.2 liter aluminum block without direct injection into the combustion chamber. Port injection is good enough. SOHC aluminum Raptor block would fit nicely in the sixth gen Mustang.
