I have a 2018 A-10 as well most of you on this chat and am experiencing hard down shifts and 4-5 up shifts are very messy and sloppy. All at 180+ degrees operating temp when cooler between 80-180 degrees in morning it does what a 1000 Wheel H.P car should do. Crisp thight wheel barking up shifts normal mode and neck jerking in drag mode. Ha ha ha

I wonder why these cars don’t come with transmission dipsticks anymore..if the manufacturer cant get it right at least allow me to able to check my transmission fluid without having to put my car up on a lift.

My 10r80 failed (one way clutch) in January with only 7000 miles on the car. It's been behaving since it was rebuilt (stock Ford parts). Someone here mentioned that the 10r80 hold gears longer until it's warmed up - not sure if that it true or not, but mine does seem to hesitate a little bit on cold start up but seems smooth after it's warmed up.

My 6r80 holds gears when it cold even 95 degree temps. Its how the ecu is programed from the factory. I warm my car up for 4 minutes on every cold start. This helps it shift sooner.

Is this an issue that was resolved in model years later than 2018? My 2022 tranny is a bit wonky at times, but I'm only at 550 miles or so and so it could still be in its initial learning phase (I think).

I'm going to have my oil changed at 1,000 miles and the tranny reset, and want to make a list of things for the dealer to look at when I take it in.
