Although the TSB says no dtc's, for my car I would get the DTC's I listed only after driving with the issue for a while. Another possibility is the DTC's I got were related to a different problem (clutch switches) and it happened to coincide with this TSB issue but I feel it is HIGHLY unlikely since the day I first experienced this issue I also got the wrench light.

If you don’t mind the question and could offer a little insight:

How were you able to get $9,500.00 paid out to you from Ford and you still have the vehicle (no Ford RAV Buy Back)?

Were they compensating you for 10 mos of car payments?

I’ve previously been through the Ford Claims process with my prior 2016 S550 - had (2) packages tossed my way (Extended Warranty and Maintenance Plan), multiple rental cars for months at no charge and 3 mos of car payments refunded... still didn’t resolve the redundant warranty issues with that 2016 and eventually ended up w/Ford RAV Buying Back my 2016 and swapping collateral into my current 2018 last Feb.

I’ve yet to hear of Ford making such an exorbitant payment to a customer until now.

Do tell.

Last 3 sentences of the Warranty History Document under Tech Comments dated 5 June 18 is interesting. Ford instructs the Tech to look for aftermarket parts added tot he vehicle. Tech comments that there were no aftermarket parts or tune added. Then Ford instructs to look for propper tire sizes. Hmmm.

YES! I saw that too (and I was trying to read this stuff on my phone, and yet it still jumped out at me!). I'm telling you, I keep seeing this type of wording come up; ways for them to deny warranty work! Makes me feel really good about my extended warranty - not. Then again, mine is bone stock and likely staying that way while under warranty.

Considering I work as a mechanic for a living in the military that is exactly what I call "hail marry troubleshooting. Throw parts at it until the fault goes away"

What mess look at all the time and money wasted. Glad you didnt pay for it!

"Hail marry troubleshooting" Irritates me so bad.
