Wow that’s scary. Were you on the stock clutch?

What do you think made it blow?
Its unknown still. I got a hold of one of the reps they think the stock flywheel bolts got loose and might of caused the clutch to hit the side of the bellhousing, however the mechanic that took it out said he does not recall them being loose. However they sent me a new clutch out of courtesy. So it’s still a mystery

I’m currently building my 2017 mustang after my clutch blew up and turned my transmission into two pieces, cracked my block in several spots and tore through a couple harness wires.
I am going with a new setup which is a 5.2 block running 12:1 compression ratio, with forged insides, my ported gen 2 heads, intake cams and carrying over my bolts on from my last fbo build (ported 18 mani, jlt cai, headers, 47lb injectors) and run nothing but e85.
the couple of questions I have are what oil pan and pick up tube will I need and What else will I have issues with?
Thanks

If you're gonna blow something up, go "big" is what they always say! Damn!

So what was the power level being pushed being that happened?

You're lucky nothing shrapneled through the trans tunnel or floor pan.

The car has headers, jlt series 3, ported 18 mani and on e85. I was going into 3rd and before I started to let off the clutch it blew. The clutch was rated for 800 hp til this day I do not know what went wrong
