Whipple tune! I’ve noticed you have to completely disable traction control otherwise the car tries to hold you back. Give that a try if you haven’t.
Absolutely agree with turning off the traction control. I thought mine was a bit timid after the install but after turning off traction control it scared the poop right out of me.

so did you guys just turn off TC or put it in track mode? I know that there is different throttle mapping for normal, snow, sport, and track mode but I wonder what the Whipple tune does to that throttle mapping? It has been raining the past few days here so I will wait for the roads to dry before I play ;)

I have not tried any of the drive modes, just turned traction control off. Or I‘ve also held the traction control button for 5+ seconds to completely disable Advance trac or whatever it’s called. The throttle is touchy enough as it is, can’t imagine the throttle mapping in track mode!

That being said, when your foot is to the floor, drive mode does not matter. They just ramp the throttle input in faster, but 100% throttle is 100% throttle.

I ordered the same rears... now just need the Whipple lol did you go with g2s for the front?
The plan was to do the G2s in the front, but they are on national backorder in the size I need (285/35/19). Discount Tire tried for 3 weeks to find them from another store, but nothing materialized. They ended up giving me Michelin PS4S for the front for the same price as the G2s.

Can't complain about that. I ordered g2s 285/35/20 for the front and r2s in 315/35/20 from discount. Hopefully I didn't go to tall

You will have plenty of torque. Need to go taller on mine. 3.73’s and the whipple and making first and second a game of which gear smokes best.

I had Gen5 Whipple stage 2 kit put on my car a month ago and finished my clutch break-in last week. Went back to the shop this afternoon to put it on the rollers. It completely exceeded my expectations!! This Whipple is insane! The pull was done in 5th gear and stopped just shy of 7500rpms to avoid hitting the speed limiter. Tried to first dyno it in 4th gear, but it just spun the tires too much.

Crazy the power never peaks and just keeps going up! Whipple tune on 93 octane and the 3.875 pulley the kit comes with. I did put a splash of Boostane in the tank as I’m not sure if we’re still on winter fuel around here or not.

Big shoutout to Mike Post at DynoTuneMP for all the great work installing the kit. Anyone in the Chicagoland area that needs anything, Mike is your guy!

Mod list for my car besides the Whipple: OPG’s/CS, QA1 carbon fiber driveshaft, LPX clutch, Borla Touring cat-back, GForce Renegade axles, Steeda stop the hop kit and vertical links.

Here is the dyno graph: 708.97 / 529.17

ALL YOU GUYS IN ‘THE WHIPPLE WAIT’ THREAD, THE WAIT IS WORTH IT!!!

Did the dyno operator not know 5th gear is the direct 1 to 1, not 4th?

He did. But was concerned about hitting the speed limiter. Whipple’s instructions even say to dyno in 4th gear. If my car had 3.31s or 3.15s it would not have been able to make a full pull in 5th gear. With the 3.73s it was just able to do it before hitting the speed limiter.

I’m digging the new shoes! Took it for a short drive and so far impressed with the Nitto 555RII drag radials. Third gear is completely usable now, 100% traction. Second still struggled, but I expected that. The car feels much more controllable now. Haha.
