Same for me, ordered in May and it has been in unscheduled material hold for months. I had actually never seen a GT350 on the road and then just recently I saw my first R and in my neighborhood a GT350 in the same color

From whats in another thread, they are going to stop building ALL 350 variants in the fall. If you don't get scheduled by then it will be an additional 5+ months before you see a car. Production will end around late oct and most likely start back up in March.
It's disheartening....

By chance, do you happen to have a link to the other thread?

Thanks in advance!

Man... Why are they shutting down? Are they just shitting down production on the GT350? I heard other mustangs are made on the same line.

Wow... a dealer and rep that did what the promised.
I cancelled an order with a dealer across the country because the never got back to me with an estimated quarter that the car would be built. My local dealer had an allocation but would not take an order until he had the ok from the rep. I said I would give them my order (I was selected from a small group of interested folks) if they could give me a firm commitment of a quarter that the car would be built.

This all happened on Friday 8/12. I placed the order and gave them my deposit. I saw the confirmation from the district rep while I was in the office at the dealership.

Just got a call and the timing is
Order Friday 8/12
Unscheduled clean on 8/14
Scheduled to week of September 19 on August 18
VIN today as well.

Pretty great.

Pretty sure only GT350R production goes on hiatus over the fall/winter because the Cup 2 tires do not react well in freezing temps.

AFAIK, non-R GT350 production has no such interruption.

Anyone able to confirm?

Everyone talks about the cup 2 tires not reacting to the cold well.

I'm not sure if my conclusion is accurate but I'm pretty sure it is.

Regardless of cup 2 or pss, these tires will both crack of RUN in cold temps. The rubber is simply not made to work in cold temperatures (i.e. gets super hard in cold temps).

Also, all the cup 2 horror stories come from the Z06 vetts, and point is, exactly as stated above, Chev should have stopped Vette production in the winter. Also, Chev supposedly worked out their own compound with Michelin.

But point is both PSS and Cup 2 tires have been reported to crack in cold temps, neither should be driven. Obviously, I'm quite sure no one here is gonna drive their GT350 in the winter lol.
