2016 Shelby Gt350 rattle noise

Hello Everyone,

Has anyone ever encountered this. I'm getting a rattle metallic noise under acceleration. I am not sure what it can be. I haven't taken it to the dealer, and it doesn't help that my warranty ended 2 months ago. Was wondering if anyone can chime in and see what it can be. Thank You

Sounds like an exhaust rattle of some kind. Can you get it on a lift or some jack stands? Does it happen more or less depending on if the engine has warmed up or is cold?

Look at the weights on the exhaust just past the cats. If memory serves me they are bolted on an some have come loose. Newer units are welded in place.

Thank you so much! Just lifted my car and did see that one of the weights was loose. Tighten both of them and rattle is gone. Was afraid it was something with my engine.

Glad to hear it was a simple fix. You could get a muffler shop to put a weld on it?

Good idea. I have been wanting to remove the resonators so I may ask if they could weld them while there. Thanks!
