Great news! I just heard back from Ford Performance, and the 2015s WILL come standard with a car cover. I was curious since the cover wasn't an option on the 15s, but was on the 16s.

Nice!:ford:

They should definately throw in the cover for free on a 2015 since the will cost a premium to buy.

The ones that were offered to preferred customers sold for MSRP. (with some of those car owners being on here). In those cases the dealer was purely selected to do the transaction

In the cases where a dealer won an allocation via lottery, well save to assume most of those went above MSRP

Of course the preferred customers (Dealer Owners, Dealer Owner's Family/Good Friends) got them at MSRP or less. I was refering to the rest of the 2015 GT350s or GT350Rs. It takes work and effort to get a 2016 GT350 at MSRP I imagine it must be quite a bit more difficult to get a 2015 at MSRP. Just ask Shelby Girl for one example.

I can't blame the Dealer's though. If I were a Owner of a Ford Dealership that got a 2015 GT350 or GT350R it would be sold to....wait for it.....wait for it.....Me at invoice and I would post about it here how I got it at invoice because I am a preferred buyer. I prefer myself over everone else so I would have kept it for me!

Just to throw it out there - the 2015's were NOT available for **ANY DISCOUNTS** through the "Preferred customer (aka VIP)" process.

Also, as discussed on a different thread yesterday - FORD cannot enforce the dealer to offer the car at MSRP, only try to "persuade" or "encourage" them to honor MSRP.

It's really up to the preferred customer to work with the dealer to get the car at MSRP.

I have an inconsequential question - were there two different car covers for the Shelbys, or did one simply "replace the other?
I see two part numbers -
#FR3J 19A412 that says it is for 2016 Ford Mustang Cpe. Shelby GT350
And
#FR3Z-19A412-F that says it is for 2016 Ford Mustang Cpe. Shelby GT350 R
Just curious if the R's had to have a different cover because of the raised spoiler or if Ford just changed to a new cover/part number ?

It's because of the R spoiler
