Hi,
Just finished up retrofitting 2016 OEM heat extractor/blinkers onto my 2015 and figured I show those of you who want this how I did it for $183.25 using 99% OEM Ford pars.
This is for the people like myself who want them. For those of you who don't like them feel free to move on and not leave negative comments
Parts list:
1. 2016 OEM take off heat extractors with blinkers bought from Roush take offs via eBay $149.99 shipped.
2. 2016 OEM under hood wiring harness bought from Tasca Parts $23.27 shipped. Part # GR3Z-13A840-A
3. Roughly 15' wire, wire loom and connectors $9.99
First I swapped my 2015 magnetic heat extractors for the 2016 which is self explanatory. The only modification needed was to notch out the center of the plastic mounting brace that is used to "sandwich" the assembly to the hood and has the two 9mm nuts holding it in place. Just had to make room for the plug assembly that is now needed to connect the blinkers.
Then I snapped in the 2106 OEM under hood wiring harness. This comes completely assembled and has the snap on clips already attached exactly where they need to be to attach to the hood.
I then took a length of speaker wire and attached the ground to one of the three ground bolts on the passengers side of the radiator support behind the passenger headlight and used the other side of the wire to tap into the blinker signal wire from the blinker plug on the passenger blinker.
I ran my new harness under the radiator support and then along the drivers side wheel well to the area just behind the driver side 5.0 emblem. This is where the factory under hood harness ends.
Then I used a single wire from the drivers side blinker plug and added it to the loom assembly I ran from the passengers side.
I clipped the plug off the factory under hood harness and connected my new self made harness to it.

And that's all there is to it. For a total of $183.25 I now have the OEM hood extractor/blinkers like the 2016 models have.
I have been driving mustangs my whole life and have had 13 different models. My first was a 1967 which had the hood blinkers and I absolutely loved them. It was important to me to retrofit these because they remind me of the fun I had in my 1967 mustang when I was 15.
I hope this will help anyone who may want these to do the mod, it's really pretty easy and very rewarding.
