Wow great legwork man... that's a lot of info in there.

Technically, isn't the s550 code name still a rumor? I know it's an internal thing, but does Ford ever actually confirm these ( SN95, S197 etc)?

The title is "CONFIRMED".........as in there's very little doubt.............the title isn't "OFFICIAL" which is a very different thing.

None of the things in that list have been made official by Ford, but we've seen them in photos, so it's the next best thing :)

What about after the car is shown? Does Ford ever officially confirm the platforn code names after?

In other words, have we seen Ford call the 4th gen SN95 and the 5th gen S197 in any official manner?

I remember reading somewhere recently where a Ford engineer mentioned that the 4cyl Eco will only be available in Europe. Don't know how accurate that info is though. Also heard that the v6 will be pushed to 350-475ish range.

Edit* 350-375ish. Not 475ish lol. Typo. That would be a lot of kick for a sixer! I believe BMW makes a 4cyl that pushes 300hp, so I bet it's possible to see a 375hp v6

You sure it was recent? I think that was an old rumor.

V6 to 350 is already a stretch. Anything even approaching 400 is

Been a die hard manual trans car all my life but, I am super curious about this "8 speed tranny". If its anything like the Porsche PDK or Ferrari's dual clutch. C&D stated not even the best drivers, driving cars with manual trans. could turn better 0-60's against these high tech dual clutch transmissions. Dont get me wrong I like and own a manual trans. 2006 Mustang GT. But when C&D and Motor Trend state they have seen a good dual clutch trans knock off as much as 3/10th of a second in a 0-60 run. So if the S550 w/ M-82 goes 0-60 in 4.2 sec. and one with a dual clutch tranny goes 0-60 in 3.9, just laying it out there
