Having just got back from a (extremely brief) test drive of a '14 GT, all I can say is that the '15 is going to be fucking awesome and that the coyote is a beast.
Beast indeed and more of a beast when you start modding it. You will love seeing SS camaros challengers in your rear view, get used to it. :ford:

See the AutoBlog comparison review over in the General forum. They drove the 14 V6 and V8, and the 15 EB and V8, back to back to back to back. Conclusion? No comparison. The new car is relatively awesome. All of us who chose to wait were wise. Hopefully the wait is over soon.

I'll like to see some numbers. I think that on the street or the strip the 2014 will out run 15 and the Boss will embarrass it. On the track the 15 will be Superior over the 14 GT PP and run close to a Boss.

It'll be a driver's race in a straight line. Throw a real world corner into the mix and there's no contest. Not that I condone driving like an asshat on public roads.

So far the trap speeds of S197 has shown to be higher and S197B even more. Two equality poor or good divers in both cars S550 vs S197 and the S197 should take the cake and the Boss will certainly beat it. On a track the S197 may not have a chance but the Boss will still hang depending on the Track.

How many instrumented tests have we seen with the S550? Are you comparing average traps or the best traps?

Exactly!! We have seen 112.5mph on the R&T test I believe and C&D got the same MPH as their previous gen test of the 5.0. For sure it slower right now from a MPH standpoint vs. B302.

Funny how certain this poster is and his factual statements....LOL

I cannot wait to see what Evan Smith gets in this and compare that to what he ran in the previous S197.

I'm ok with a 13.0@113 from C&D. It's a bloated $46k car that weighs in over 3800#'s. My stripped 300a should be considerably less hefty. .95g skid pad on a car that's two tons with a driver is pretty impressive. I'm over my disgust with the reviews. It just took some time to digest the facts.

Nice comparison!

I especially like the overhead one that really shows off how much wider the S550 is.
For ME, I WILL TAKE THE 2014 V6, IT LOOKS BETTER TO ME, AND....
THE PRICE IS MUCH BETTER. That rear quarter shot did it for me.
The 2015 is UGLY from that ANGLE.

Is the black stang manual with track pack? If its a manual, the orange pp gt needs a driver mode, but on a straight line i think the 15 stang is slower due to extra weight. Ford did sacrifice straight line performance for luxury and to enter the world wide market. I m still waiting a track comparison between a Boss LS and a pp gt. I really want to know how honest Ford and their engineers are. Cheers.

No the black car is a auto brembo package stock. and yeah the extra weight hurts drag performance for now, but around the track is another story

Certainly looks that way. The weight is a big factor with the S550 just like the Gen 5 Camaros. The S197 is lighter than both giving it an edge in the 1/4 mile. I love both generations though-the S197 and S550. Both unique and different personalities.

2015 vs last generation

Does it bother anybody that the last generation is faster then the new? Do you think 2016 mustang will have more power and less weight? Should I wait is what I'm asking?
