So I went to the track Thursday and got some new bragging rights. I was hoping to get my ten second time slip got up to the starting line had a nice burn out was ready to rock. I was telling myself slip the clutch slip the clutch...
For some reason there was a Honda or something next to me and their tree lit up first then mine went one two three go I was thinking wtf then oh go and as I went I snapped my dss 800hp half shaft.
The good news after shitty hours long wait for a tow is dss is helping me out with upgrade to 1400hp half shafts.
Now people are recommending I get slicks and skinnies saying it is easier on the manuals.
My updates have not been as up to date as I would hope for. At any rate, here's some updates.
I went to the dyno and by pulling the lid off my air filter I managed to pull off 708rwhp and 596TQ. No glory run, just pull up dyno and done.
Here's a pic of my dyno graph and then a youtube clip of the dyno so you can hear how the exhaust sounds. It is rather loud standing behind the car. Almost sounds like a loud subwoofer hitting you in the chest. I love that you can see the slipstream of air. It gets so loud it sounds pure static on my cell phone mic.
Here's another update. Just installed Ford hood struts. Install went fairly smooth, they hold the hood fine, no issues. I didn't like cutting my battery cover but I think it looks ok and doesn't lock my battery cover on the car if I need to get to my battery.
I will try to make it to the track tomorrow for my first time at track with slicks and skinnies if the rain holds out.
Then i will be taking the car apart, having my motor built, swapping the mt82 for a 6060 trans with taller gearing, lowering my super charger pulley to 69mm, installing a fore triple pump fuel system, and a dry nitrous kit. I will be shooting for 1000rwhp and mid to low 9 second quarter mile times.
