2015 Mustang 4” to 8” sync 2 swap what do I need

I recently got a hold of a 8” sync 2 touchscreen with a bezel from a GT car. I would like to swap it out is there anything special needed for this. Is it plug and play?

I only see converting to sync 3. I’m doing sync 2.

My fault on that, completely missed the 2 instead of 3! A lot of the process will probably be similar, but I'd say go for 3 if you can. The better screen, software, drive modes...

Can't answer your plug n play question on Sync 2, but I would guess not based on how you need to make pin out modifications for 3 or buy a new harness.
