What are the estimated HP and MPG gains? I have not seen much chatter on panel filters.

From what I gathered from the S197s people noticed loss in HP from these drop ins

I wasn't expecting more than 3 or 4 hp but a potential loss is not worth the sound/possible fuel economy gains. Thanks.

You usually get about half the power gain as you would get with a cold air induction system. People like it as an option because they do not want to buy an entire kit and it is a cheaper alternative. On a performance car it is hard to gauge the MPG because you are usually in the throttle a lot but most people will notice a better crisper throttle response. Thanks, Don
