Im confused on the components of the new engine. I've read that the revised coyote has the boss 302 sinter forged rods with cast aluminum pistons on Late Model Restoration. While other sites say it has forged pistons and crank with cast rods. Someone please clear this up.

No forged Pistons but does have a forged crank. I think the rods are very similar to the Boss rods and are sinter forged.

Key features:

Unique airbox induction
Larger intake and exhaust vales based on the 2013 Boss 302 5.0L V8 engine
Sinter-forged connecting rods are lighter and more durable for high-rpm operation
Rebalanced forged steel crankshaft supports higher-rpm operation
New cylinder head casting with revised high-flow ports provides a straighter path to the valves for less-restrictive intake and exhaust flow
Combustion chamber modifications accomodate larger valves
Deep-sump oil pan
Available in fastback (coupe) and convertible body styles

I believe the answers to your question can be found on the wiki section of the forum. Go to the drive train section. Lots of good info there.
