Cutting the bottleneck tip as I did in pictures i posted will work with any 3 inch aftermarket exhaust.

He's not wrong per se, he said it wouldn't connect to an aftermarket exhaust, which is likely true as most taper down to the stock 2.25". Sounds like the Hooker downpipe has extra length and that the Y pipe just needs to be cut.

Correct velocity, will not connect to stock exhaust without welding but because of its extra length cutting the bottleneck off of most 3 inch aftermarket full exhausts as I did works and is why I includ 3 inch clamp that'snot included from factory, yes I still have a few I came across. Sorry for late reply.
