Hey All,
I currently have a 19x10” squared setup for track (Apex SM10’s with 285/35/19 Supercar 3’s) , and looking for a 20” squared for mostly street, but optional track if my 19’s are short on rubber. The car is 90% track, but I’d like multiple wheel/tire setups.

Is a 285/35/20 tire the best option for size? I’m currently on PP1
Magneride dampeners with Steeda Dual-Rate springs. I may end up going with the GY Eagle SuperCar3 just to be safe, if so. This car won’t rack up the miles so track tires on both wheel sets is okay.

Any opinions? I still need to research wheel options. Looking for something matte black, and spokes - while on the cheaper side. Guessing +35 to +40 EST?

Looking at these wheels - really easy to maintain a squared rotatable setup.

Cast wheels? No thanks. So many better options than soft cast metal.

285/35/20 yes thats a normal size for a 20x10” wheel. Supercar 3 is a good choice too.

Guess I wasn’t paying attention to the wheel quality, it’s mostly street - mainly freeway, so no abuse. Those are the styles/types I’m trying to accomplish.
I believe MMR and ACE have a similar design but I didn’t think ACE had black as a color option, and since the track wheels are gray, I’m looking for black.

Thanks on confirming 285/35/20 - looked to be about an inch bigger than my current setup so was concerned a tad.
27.9” overall is okay right? I’d rather fill my fender to wheel gap, so I like the idea of larger overall diameter.

285/35-20 would also be close to the diameter of the 275/40-19 rear tires that are part of the PP1 package.

I've ran at least 4 different 20x10 (or 10.5) square wheel setups with the 285/30/20 SC3 tires (305/30/20 also). Great dual purpose wheel/tire combo. (cast 20's obviously are not ideal for track, but have definitely put in work for me). Mostly because I got the SC3 tires so cheap from TR. I think I paid like $130ea on the camaro OEM closeouts ;)

305/30/20 fit on 20x10’s - any rubbing?
Spacers needed in front? @c_reber
If so - I’ll pick up 4 right now! There’s 4 left 😆

No, sorry. I had the 305's on the 10.5" wheels. They would probably squeeze onto a 10" wheel, but would have lots of bulge, and not be nearly as effective.

The wheels I had were 20x10.5 with spacer the effective offset was ~ +17 (probably too much, but I wanted to have more clearance inboard to not rub the strut). Even so, they still rubbed a bit on the outside fender under full compression.

How much do these wheels weight?

Given these prices, I would just get stronger and lighter SVE wheels.

20x10.5 +30 would be pretty pokey on the rear, combine that with taller tires and you are in danger of rubbing or worse.

Why go to 20's? It might help if all your tires (& wheels) where the same size.
But having street/back up track tires with more rain friendly tread is not a bad idea.

28-30 lbs, so still lighter than my PP wheels. SVE doesn't make a decent style I prefer.
I prefer a longer, thinner, spoke-type wheel - I'm not entirely happy with my 19x10 Apex wheel style, but since they're for the track, I don't care. For the street, I'm trying to accomplish this look.

Get the Velgen's vf5
Not a bad idea. I prefer the straight spoke style though, vs the 5 star type. Those are a good option, thank you for the idea.
Spending that much $$$, I might as well go for exactly what I want - the HRE FF15’s

I’m basically looking for a budget set of these LOL
