2 New Bests at Mod Nats - Quickest Centri 18 up and Hellion on 20's on air!

We came out to Mod nationals for the week and set a record for the quickest centrifugal 2018 and up on the planet with our 8.65. The car weighs in right at 4000 pounds with Driver. We had an amazing 1.29 - 60’ foot with a second gear leave with our Lund Racing custom tune. It’s a Vortech JTb trim supercharger.

We’ve been 8.8s with our 4200 pound hellion sleeper 2017 mustang but we’re still striving to get eights on 20s on air so we only brought 20 inch tires for the weekend. We were on our way to that eight second pass when we lost the forward Shaft in our transmission. we can’t wait to get it back out again and hit that number as she was on a pass. Once we hit 4th we lost the trans. And 4th is a long gear for us. This car is running 20" nitto NT05s, and pulled a stellar 1.64 60' with Air Lift Air suspension.

How much weight does Air Ride add to a car? Import people keep saying air is just as good as regular suspension but I sure do see a lot of Air suspensions for sale used. lol

you have the bags, the tank, and the compressor, part of it will depend on the the size of the tank. it's not a ton more weight overall, complete kit is right about 100lbs, then you take off your factory shocks / struts you pull about 50lbs. so about 50lbs extra overall
