He guys, just curious as to what my car should put down. All of the shops with dynos near me are 1-2 months out as far as wait times go. All I can really go off of is dragy. It's a 17" with an mt82. Gen 3 2.9L whipple, 3.625 upper, stock diameter lower, DW 95lb injectors, JMS BAP. Tuned by Lund, 17.5 degrees of timing. Car traps 124.5 consistently. I was figured it would be 5 mph higher or so with my given setup. According to hp calculators it estimates that I have 585hp. That definitely seems low for this setup on 93. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!

What is the density altitude when you run? Supercharged cars lose less power than NA engines at high DAs, but still lose a little (around 1.5% per 1000 feet of DA vs 3% per 1000' DA for NA).

FWIW for comparison, the 650 hp Camaro ZL1 traps 122-124 mph w/ the M6, DA corrected to standard conditions at sea level.

Your car probably weighs well over 4000 lbs with you in it - if the calculator is asking for weight, most likely you need to include your body weight, plus the additional weight of the supercharger and all the ancillary equipment. Wallaceracing.com hp calulator shows ~610-620 crank hp for a car that weighs 4,100 lbs (with driver) and traps 124.5 mph. Of course, that is just theoretical and doesn't take into account transmission type (i.e., A10 vs M6). Honestly I think it leans toward manual cars and not modern A10 transmissions.

DA is 1421 - and yeah transmissions definitely contribute a lot towards things. The mt82 certainly isnt the best option. Thank you for your input!

I'd say low 600whp range on that setup. Even on a 2.9 it should still make decent power. The great thing about boost is, if you aren't happy with the power, its a simple tune and pulley change away lol.

I made 643 at the wheels with my stage 1 (750HP) kit. As-Supplied Whipple tune, car is entirely stock right down to the cats. 3.750" pulley. A6 car.

Runs consistent low 11's@124-126, base altitude of 1850', corrected D/A ~3800 ft at time of passes.

Appreciate all the input you guys. In the process of converting to e85 and switching to 3.25 pulley!
