John,

I am very happy with my shifter dial. It was a bit expensive for what it is, but that explorer knob had to go. It is a nice touch. The only thing I am not crazy about is that the edges around the dial are a bit to hard. They won't cut your fingers or anything, but the edges should have been rounded out a bit to give it a nice feel.
I completely agree with everything you stated. I haven’t installed mine yet, but the hard edges were the first thing I noticed when picking it up. It most certainly gives it an odd feeling to the touch. It almost felt sticky.

If it is that way on the Ford GT, then it was by design. I suspect it isn't. I don't think I will ever find out, LOL.

I'm not an "interior guy" so the OEM ring doesn't bother me at all. But, I WOULD like to see what a competent painter like Tomster could do with some gloss block on the stock ring. It wouldn't surprise me if that resulted in one that was even closer to the high-dollar Ford's ring.

Its funny you mention it. I am after a cosmetic seconds CF wing that I plan to paint black. When/if that ever happens, I will let you know. I think that, combined with a set of black wheels on the CFTP would look really good. Don't get me wrong, the CF is beautiful, its just another look that you can go back and forth with.

Good luck with the wing, Tom. Not something I'd wanna paint for sure.
I wish you could buy the OEM ring without the whole shebang (and not for a king's ransom,) cuz I'd send it to ya. :-)

I finally got my car out of the detail/ppf shop jail.

My first mod was full suntek ultra wrap and ceramic. Some Bemaro, JLT, Jaeger Brothers and Sliplo products were installed soon after for additional protection.

I just finished installing my Mark Boris inspired front camera. I used the Naviks 1312 and the same Nakita camera. Mark was kind enough to answer my questions on the backside and sent me the shop manual.

This wasn’t a hard install, but it did take about 14 hours to hidewires and install this in a factory way. I removed the front bumper cover and one hold up I had was I installed Sliplo on the front splitter and it also adhered to the lower air splitter so I had to use a oscillating tool to cut the sliplo so I could remove the lower air splitter and
get to the bolts for the bumper cover.

The naviks unit now lets me use the nav while moving, it turns on the camera for 7 seconds automatically when you shift out of reverse or you can manually activate it by holding the power button below the screen down for a few seconds.

The JLT intake I ordered finally arrived a couple days ago and I installed it yesterday. About as simple as it gets but the old Toob video, as usual, is the best installation manual. Drove her after, didn't really have a time/place to get after it seriously but I do believe she stretched her legs a bit quicker. :-)

Anyone thinking of selling their stock mufflers? If you got another exhaust and have one laying around, I'd be interested.
Still interested if anyone has it laying it around their garage
