Jaime: Love the mouse pad, is that from the Shelby store?

On another subject, somehow, don't ask me how, but I was able to get the new deck lid mat installed. <chuckling> Rough work but someone has to duit.

Despite the hiccups along the way, the fellas did a beautiful job of hand painting, it's pretty remarkable, really. VERY steady hands.

Looks MINT buddy. I love mine, its pretty slick, and I get a lot of compliments.

I got the mouse pad from Etsy, and as you can see, he will do your chassis number.

With the temps about twenty degrees lower than the past couple of months, I got a tiny bit ambitious this morning and installed the Outerwears air pre-filter.

I was more than a little surprised at how dirty the filter was after only 1800 or so miles. I also didn't think the pre-filter I got would fit but low and behold, it did. That's one out of the way with a bunch more on the list.

Is that for your "protection"....... You get the reference. in all seriousness what benefit are you seeking/expecting? Why not a K&N type? Interested in your thoughts.

I will undoubtedly replace the OEM with a K&N when it's time but I was HOPING that the pre-filter might catch gunk, bugs, and particles that would otherwise get deep inside the folds. The goal is to extend the life of the filter.

Jaime: I don't have the packaging and the invoice isn't much help.

The site is outerwears dot com

My invoice says:

20-1097-03 30.45
WRRD 7 1/2-5 TAPER, 8 TALL W/TOP

In the list after Ford, you'll see "Mustang Shelby"

but there isn't one for the 20 MY. I measured mine as per their instructions and learned that it was a 7 1/2" x 5" which most of those on that page are as well so I think any of them with those dimensions will work. At least that's what I ordered.

So, Tob likes AirRaid more better. I've used both but it's been awhile and I don't recall that outer screen on previous products. They're definitely going to be under consideration and I think sooner rather than later. Also like Earl's idea of just washing it out and letting it sun dry.

Hey Tob: After reading your equally deliciously obsessive writeup on filters, you convinced me to change mine to an AirRiad. Unfurntoately, I can't find the correct filter on their site. Might you by chance sill have a link for that filter ad, thanks in advance.

Well my BORLA exhaust arrived yesterday, but likely will be 2-3 weeks before i can get it installed, waiting on new rear valance so i can do at the same time. Man the X/H pipe whatever Borla calls it sure is sexy. Surely they didn't go to all that trouble and it not be proven....IDK looks cool

That pipe is certainly interesting.

I had to google it and find some info. Mostly a marketing video but some science and explanation and claim is 2% increase over 'normal' Xpipes
