You are still safe with the wheel/tires you have currently. Personally I would run with what you have. Let them get warn, and go larger when replacements are needed... And I guess the question is, is this combo just weekend road warrior or DD?

It’s a daily but only sees approx 125 miles a week.

I agree with @BeastAR . Wear them out. They're excellent tires and within the safe size range.

the F14s are awesome and the stretch isn’t super obvious.

This ^^^

Putting the same tires on wider wheels buys you things like improved cornering turn-in and steering precision. And those aspects are more useful in street driving than a truly small amount more ultimate cornering grip that you'll never use anywhere except on a road course or at autocross.

There's an approximate guideline for how much skidpad grip a wider tire can give you, and it's much smaller than the visual comparison of the two tire sizes leads you to believe. Without changing the tread compound, you should only expect a 305/xx tire to maybe develop 0.92 cornering g's if the 275/xx tires were giving you 0.90. That's about a 2% grip improvement for an 11% increase in width, so it's a very slow gain. I'd defy most people to detect that small of a difference without datalogging equipment. And if you've got any sense of self-preservation whatsoever, your street driving won't get up to 0.90 or 0.92 or whatever lat-g your tires are ultimately capable of.

19x9 . . . 265/40
19x9.5 . . . 285/40

Not worth going any bigger than the PP1 sizes. You'll never see the difference, the improvement in cornering grip will be negligible if you stick with the same tire make and model, and you'll give up some turn-in response and steering precision.
