Mach 1 was always an appearance package. I agree it's not exciting as built and the "collector" status is very questionable. Both cars linked look nice to me but you can't tell much just from photos. The non-desirable car is actually most interesting to me because it should be less expensive to purchase and then modifications won't destroy the value.

I'm not so interested in having an "original" car that is nearly 50 years old - they just don't do anything that well (accelerate, turn, stop, etc.). Much more fun to have something modernized under the skin.

I don't believe 347s were even thought of in 1990's, so would assume it's a plain 302, which way off for this Mach1. And the 351s came with FMX not C4, so the whole drive train is wrong. Buyer beware.

I'm not interested in original, I just prefer manual.
