The shop has customers that build for pebble beach, mecum etc. we don’t need that level of perfection. This isn’t a concourse build and won’t be a garage queen.
My son asked me to look up the original color yesterday. This is how it looked when my buddy repainted it in 78. He's not sure if he used a Ford or Caddy blue at the time. Believe original color was Presidential Blue. Thought my son was set on red but my grandson (who is a 2 year old gearhead) wants it blue like his Pop's 2021 GT/CS! That's my grandson!

Original. The owner doesn’t drive it much but brought it out for a benefit car show that a friend and I organize for a United Cerebral Palsy school every year.
I remember when my buddy was wet sanding this in his driveway after paint. It was beautiful. This was when we brought it home in December 2018. Been a looooong time getting to this point but definitely see light at the end of the tunnel.
